The Hot House Four Live Friday night!
Willy Briggs together with his wife Lisa Briggs teamed up with daughter Lola Gaskin-Briggs and Dan Morley to play some early American roots music. They blend a creative mix of Western swing, early jazz, blues, swing and ragtime with twin guitars, accordion, lap steel, harmonica, mandolin and upright bass.
Over the last two years, The Hot House Four have gone from strength to strength breaking through onto several scenes of music in the UK including the Folk, Blues, Jazz and Rockin' scenes. Although still predominantly based in the South West, they are starting to play across the UK and over into Europe. Having played in Spain in 2015 where the response was phenomenal!
Led by Bristol's best dressed drummer, the 16 piece Big R Big Band are firm favourites with the Bristol swing dance crowd. Frequent performers at the Slapstick and Harbourside festivals, as well as the regular Bristol swing events that happen in the city, The Big R can also be found swinging across the rest of the West Country.
Being dashing, debonair, dandy and authentic, the classic swing tunes of the 30's and 40's have never sounded, or looked, so damn good. Playing Saturday 2nd June 2018

The Juke Box jets Lovingly recreate the magnetic attraction of 50's rock and roll which will see you stuck on the dance floor all night bopping, rocking and twisting the night away! The Jukebox Jets have worked tirelessly to capture the unique sound of iconic rock n roll bands such as Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis Johnny Cash and many more. The band create a unique Vintage sound.

A trio of professional musicians who love to play rock'n'roll. Well established on the UK Jive circuit the band has also played throughout Europe and enjoys a reputation for high quality music delivered with passion. Covering all areas of rockin' music from the 50's including jive beat, doo-wop, strollers, boppers and ballads.

Ricky Hunter is a professional trumpeter and vocalist originating from South Wales. A natural born entertainer with an abundance of charisma, Ricky is most at home on stage performing with his easy going audience banter and wit.
He is in his 23rd year as a trumpeter and has had the privilege of working nationally and internationally. Appearing in some of the leading venues throughout the UK. As a musician he has played in a selection of major West End musicals including Phantom of the Opera and The Rat Pack, Live at Vegas.

The Bowkers are a leading vocal harmony family group. With Justine and her brothers Lukas and Max together with their father Jason. They love to perform many genres of music and will transport you back to the golden era of swing with their classic vocals and harmonies, slick fashion and quick wit. Or to The Royal Opera House and the West End theatres with their renditions of popular show tunes and arias. And for those who want to let their hair down and dance all night they will deliver Soul, Motown and pop classics all night long.

The Harlem Rhythm Cats! Fine Purveyors of Boogie Woogie and Blues – we are a 5-Piece Boogie Woogie and Blues band.
As well as playing some of the more familiar numbers from this genre, our repertoire focuses away from the more commercial side to the slightly less well known, quirkier side of Boogie Woogie and Blues. The Harlem Rhythm Cats guarantee to have you hip-shakin’ & toe-tapping’ with our infectious groove of Boogie and Blues spanning from the early days of the genre right up to the present day. The Honey Moon Trio
The Honeymoon Trio play songs and tunes from that vintage era that followed the 1920's through to the start of the second world war. Songs and tunes from the cafe bars and dance halls of 1930's Europe including many of the Great American Song Book classics of the time.
A subtle blend of violin, accordion and guitar with soulful harmony vocals reminiscent of Al Bowley, Bing Crosby & Fred Astaire. Performing Sunday

Bierfass is a group of Dorset musicians playing a unique mix of polkas, waltzes, drinking tunes, combined with British pop and other well known songs. The result is a foot stomping, thigh slapping, singing and dancing oompah experience!
Dressed in traditional costumes the twelve piece band insists on audience participation with music performed on a blacksmith’s anvil and an alpine horn.

The Rhythm Junkie
Alan Newport AKA The Rhythm Junkie has been a musician for many years playing guitar and singing in bands, duos and has had several solo acts across the years.
As the" Rhythm Junkie" Alan focuses on music from the late fifties and sixties.
The Twin swing
Mesmerising dance from these beautiful girls. Meet them at Midday on Saturday in the London Bus marquee for a 1940's /50's performance & some teaching tips. You can also see them perform 1920's style at 8pm on saturday night. The choreography will impress!

A talented group of local musicians FSB big band is looking forward to sharing with you the music that we love. Immerse yourself in the authentic sounds of the big band as we share some of our favourite standards and a few tunes you may not know in The London Bus Bar marquee from 2pm.
Expect to hear both classics and rarities of the 30's, 40's recreated with affection by this energetic 18-piece ensemble. In collaboration with 'The Chairman Of The Board' vocalist Alec James the band is proud to be presenting their program at the VNF 2018.

Lianna Haynes specialises in singing the hits of the 1950's and 60's covering songs from Connie Francis to Elvis Presley. She was recently awarded a runner up position at The National Vintage Awards 2014 for Best Musical Performer.
Lianna's warm yet glamorous stage presence and her sweet and beautifully mesmerising tone lends itself to the music of the 50's and 60's whilst also being versatile enough to translate to all genres including current chart hits.
